Advertiser Staff
Shane Victorino, who helped the Philadelphia Phillies advance to the World Series, will host a charity golf tournament Nov. 22 at the Makena Golf Course (North Course) at the Maui Prince Resort.
ESPN anchor Neil Everett, a former KGMB anchor, will emcee the event.
Victorino, the Phillies centerfielder, is a former St. Anthony star who became a pivotal player in the Phillies march to the series, which included series victories over Milwaukee and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The golf tournament will feature athletes, sports personalities and entertainers, teamed with foursomes made up of corporate executives and community leaders. Shotgun start is noon.
The event — "Shane Victorino's A Round to Remember" — will raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association Aloha Chapter, an IRS 501 (c)(3) organization.
