Three lost adult male hikers were escorted out from the Manoa Falls trail early today by Honolulu Fire Department rescue specialists.
The three hikers, who spoke only Spanish, were not injured and were brought out at about 1 a.m., said HFD Capt. Terry Seelig.
The rescue operation began at 7:26 a.m. The language barrier and constant movement by the lost hikers complicated the operation but firefighters, who hiked in, finally located the men at about 11 p.m.
