On 'Lost,' search for extras goes on

When "Lost" casting director Rachel Sutton held an open call last month for wannabe actors, she worried that no one would show up.
Hey, she was new to the ABC drama. She won't think that again.
At the end of the day, her staff had interviewed and photographed nearly 1,500 people.
"We had to literally turn hundreds away because they were lined up around the block," she said.
But Sutton is offering a second chance for those who went home disappointed or were unable to attend. She's accepting applicants via snail mail.
Send a recent photograph and a short resume, which doesn't have to include any acting triumphs. Be sure to include your name, address, phone number and any special skills you may possess.
Mail your information to Grass Skirt Productions, Attn.: Casting, 510 18th Ave., Honolulu, HI 96816.
"We are thrilled to have the support and interest from the community," she said. "We are grateful. We will do our best to give everyone a chance to be an extra."
