Baseball: Phillies-Mets postponed to Sunday by heavy rains

NEW YORK — The Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets will play a day-night doubleheader tomorrow after heavy rain washed out today's game between the top teams in the NL East.
A downpour pounded the New York area overnight, forcing the second matchup in the crucial three-game series to be pushed back a day. The doubleheader opener will start at 2:15 p.m. Sunday and the nightcap will begin at 8:05 p.m.
The Phillies beat the Mets 3-0 Friday night to pull within two games of NL East-leading New York. Brett Myers struck out 10 in eight strong innings and Greg Dobbs hit a two-run homer.
Sunday's games are the last two scheduled between the rivals this season.
