The Kaua'i Island Utility Cooperative has scheduled a power outage beginning about 1 a.m. tomorrow, which will affect customers in the area from Hanalei Town to Waikoko and Princeville.

The outage is expected to last about an hour and will allow utility company crews to replace a transmission line switch in Hanalei Valley.

During the outage, Kauai Coffee will provide power to Wainiha and Haena.
