Maui Bus extends service for County Fair

Maui Bus will extend evening service by one to two hours during the Maui County Fair, beginning next Thursday through Oct. 5, to accommodate passengers returning to West Maui, South Maui, Makawao, Pukalani, Haliimaile, Haiku and Paia.

Also, the Wailuku-Kapalua (Stadium) Commuter parking normally allowed at the War Memorial Stadium parking lot will be relocated to the Kahului Boat Ramp for the duration of the County Fair from Wednesday through Oct. 5, Maui County officials said.

The last Wailuku Loop bus pick-up will be at 9:23 p.m. from the Kanaloa Avenue bus stop to Queen Kaahumanu Center. From Queen Kaahumanu Center riders can connect to Upcountry, Haiku, South and West Maui buses.

The additional service includes:

  • Two additional routes from Queen Kaahumanu Center (QKC) on the Kihei & Lahaina Islanders at 8:30 p.m. & 9:30 p.m. (currently, last bus is at 7:30 p.m.);

  • Two additional routes from the Wharf Cinema Center on the Kaanapali Islander at 9:30 p.m. & 10:30 p.m. (currently, last bus is at 8:30 p.m.);

  • Two additional routes from Whaler's Village on the Napili Islander at 9 p.m. & 10 p.m. (currently, last bus is at 8 p.m.);

  • One additional route from Queen Kaahumanu Center on the Haiku Islander at 9:30 p.m. (currently, last bus is at 8:30 p.m.);

  • One additional route from Queen Kaahumanu Center on the Upcountry Islander at 10 p.m. (currently, last bus is at 9 p.m.).
