EAST-WEST CENTER
Jonathan Henick, a 15-year veteran of the State Department's Foreign Service, has joined the East-West Center for a one-year post as a visiting research fellow and diplomat-in-residence.
Henick most recently served as the public affairs officer at the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan.
UNIVERSITY OF HAWAI'I-WEST O'AHU
Dr. Linda Randall recently joined the University of Hawai'i-West O'ahu as vice chancellor for academic affairs, responsible for overseeing all of the university's academic programs, curriculum and faculty development, and supporting innovations in learning and teaching.
Randall has nearly 10 years of administrative experience in developing academic programs that address workforce needs in higher education at a four-year baccalaureate institution.
ATLANTIS SUBMARINES
Atlantis Submarines has appointed Matthew Morgan cruise manager for its Atlantis Cruises operations, responsible for managing guest services and the food and beverage operations for the scenic sunset dinner and seasonal whale watch cruises along O'ahu's south shoreline.
Morgan most recently served as general manager of the Kingsboro Golf Club in Gloversville, N.Y.
CASTLE & COOKE HOMES HAWAII
Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii has promoted Lisa Souza to manager of its homeowner service center. Formerly manager of the design center, which has been combined with the homeowner service center, Souza will also oversee customer service.
CENTRAL PACIFIC BANK
Central Pacific Bank has announced the following promotions and new hires:
Gale Ige Young has been promoted to senior vice president and manager, responsible for overseeing the bank's cash management sales, service and product development, the business client service center and account analysis.
Sharlyn Miyahara has been hired as vice president and manager of personal client services in the trust division. Previously, Miyahara was with Bank of Hawaii for more than 23 years and last served as the vice president and manager of the estate settlement group.
Herman Chang has been hired as the vice president and commercial branch manager of the Kapalama branch, responsible for overall management and growth of the branch's loans and deposits. Previously, he served as vice president and Downtown market manager of American Savings Bank.
Lance Takahashi has been hired as vice president and community banking credit manager, responsible for managing the community banking sales support department. Previously, he served as a business loan approval manager for American Savings Bank.
Amery Lam has been hired as vice president and commercial branch manager at the Kapahulu branch, responsible for overall management and growth of the branch's deposits and loans. Previously, Lam worked at American Savings Bank.
Lyle Kanemaru has been hired as vice president and branch manager at the Mililani branch, responsible for overall management and growth of the branch's loans and deposits. Previously, he worked at American Savings Bank.
Jolene Kiyono has been hired as assistant vice president and commercial branch manager at the Pearlridge branch. She has 28 years of banking experience and is a former branch manager for American Savings Bank.
MAUNA LANI BAY HOTEL & BUNGALOWS
Rodney Lau has been named director of sales and marketing at Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows. Previously, Lau worked at the Marriott Resort Hawaii on Kaua'i, where he was regional associate director of sales.
