Prosecutors last night charged a Makiki man in connection with an alleged shooting incident in Kalihi two months ago.

Eddieson A. Reyes, 24, was charged with attempted second-degree murder. Drugs were allegedly found in Reyes' possession when he was arrested Tuesday at 1039 Wong Lane in Kalihi.

The attempted-murder count stems from a July 12 incident at Amelia and North School streets in Kalihi. A 27-year-old man told police he was partying with friends when he called out to a motorist driving past.

An altercation ensued, and the motorist allegedly fired a shot from a shotgun. No injuries were reported.
