Alaska native leader Willie Hensley is one of the keynote speakers for the seventh annual Native Hawaiian Convention that happens today through Thursday at the Hawai'i Convention Center.

Hensley, among those credited with helping push through the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, will speak at tomorrow's noon luncheon.

The conference, this year titled "Raising Change — Defining Our Future," is put on by the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement.
