Kokua Kalihi Valley awarded $35,000 grant from OHA
Kokua Kalihi Valley has received a $35,000 grant from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs to bolster programs at the Kalihi Valley Nature Preserve.
The 100-acre park, owned by the state, is under lease by Kokua Kalihi Valley. The nonprofit is developing health- and community-related programs at the park.
The OHA grant will go to supporting the development of four potentially income-generating projects at the park, including one that would attract cultural and ecological tourism.
