Auto racing: GoDaddy.com to sponsor Darlington race

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Darlington Raceway says GoDaddy.com will be the presenting sponsor at next month's Southern 500.
Track president Chris Browning made the announcement Monday. The race was re-christened the Southern 500 last year after the event's contract with its last sponsor, the Carolina Dodge Dealers Association, ran out after Darlington's 2008 Sprint Cup weekend.
The agreement is for one year. Browning said he hoped the two sides could sit down after the May 9 race to discuss future partnerships.
Browning would not say how much the deal was worth.
GoDaddy.com CEO Bob Parsons said Darlington's history made it a great fit for his company, which among other things registers domain names and hosts and designs Web sites.
