Child & Family Service gets $75,000 bank contribution

Child & Family Service has received a pledge of $75,000 from the Bank of Hawaii Charitable Foundation to help build its new emergency shelter and transitional housing facility in the Leeward area for victims of domestic violence.

The project broke ground in March of 2008 and is expected to be completed this spring.

Established in 1899, Child & Family Service is the state's oldest and most comprehensive private, non-profit human services organization. It provides services to more than 40,000 children, the elderly and families in need annually.
