Breezy trades will diminish gradually through the week before giving way to sea breezes on Friday, the National Weather Service said.

Light winds will persist at least into the weekend, forecasters said.

Windward showers will taper off, but inland buildups with the sea breezes will be light too.

Today: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. East wind between 16 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tonight: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Wednesday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 79. East wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday Night: Isolated showers before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. East wind between 9 and 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday: Scattered showers, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. South wind between 7 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: Isolated showers before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. Southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
