On senior night, the University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team gave departing coach Mike Wilton one last hurrah.

The No. 14 Warriors ended their season on a high note with a 30-32, 33-31, 38-36, 30-27 upset of No. 5 Southern Caifornia tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Wilton is leaving after 17 seasons to become an assistant coach with the women's volleyball team at Brigham Young.

It also was the final match for seniors Sean Carney, Jim Clar and Michael China.

The Warriors, who failed to qualify for the postseason, finished 9-18 overall and 6-16 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. USC (17-10, 13-9) lost a chance to host a first-round MPSF tournament match and instead will have to open at Stanford.

Wilton finished his UH career 316-167.

Joseph Strotman led UH with 30 kills, while Joshua Walker added 29. Tony Ciarelli led USC with 23 kills.
