The Women's Fund of Hawai'i presents an evening with nationally acclaimed human rights activist Loretta J. Ross, 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hawai'i State Art Museum.
Ross — an expert on human rights, women's issues, diversity issues, hate groups and bias crime — is a founder and the national coordinator of the SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Health Collective, composed of more than 80 women of color organizations across the country.
The event includes a meal by award-winning chef Ed Kenney. Proceeds will support the Fertile Grounds for Reproductive Justice grant-making program of the Women's Fund of Hawai'i, a grant-making organization that focuses on helping women and girls in Hawai'i become safe, financially secure and empowered. Proceeds and donations will be fully matched by the Catalyst Fund of the Tides Foundation. Tickets begin at $75 each.
