NFL: Jets claim WR Allison off waivers from Vikings

CORTLAND, N.Y. — The New York Jets have claimed wide receiver Aundrae Allison off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings, and waived wide receiver Mario Urrutia.
The moves were announced Wednesday.
Allison, a fifth-round pick out of East Carolina in 2007, has 18 career NFL catches for 231 yards and no touchdowns. The 6-foot, 198-pound Allison has also returned punts and kicks, and set a Vikings record as a rookie with the longest play in team history, a 104-yard kickoff return touchdown against Detroit.
Urrutia signed with the Jets on June 26 after being a seventh-round draft pick by Cincinnati in 2008.
