School supplies sought for homeless students

Aloha United Way�s Society of Young Leaders have partnered with Hard Rock Cafe and Wet �n� Wild Hawaii to collect school supplies for homeless students on O�ahu.
Donations may be dropped off at the Hard Rock Cafe�s Honolulu restaurant through Aug. 31. In exchange for a donation, the restaurant will give a 20 percent off coupon and Wet �n� Wild will provide a $10-off coupon for admission to the park.
Last year, the AUW Society of Young Leaders distributed more than $8,500 in school supplies to 400 homeless students on O�ahu.
School supplies that are needed include pencil boxes and pouches, backpacks, highlight pens, notebooks, markers, crayons, loose-leaf paper, erasers, pens, folders, scissors, binders and colored pencils.
