BALTIMORE — The duel in the pool between Shaquille O'Neal and Michael Phelps is on for this Sunday.
Phelps, who won eight gold medals at the Beijing Olympic Games, has agreed to swim against the NBA star as part of a new reality TV show "Shaq Vs.," in which the All-Star center challenges top athletes in their sports. O'Neal gets to negotiate a handicap with his opponents and train with a coach for a week before each challenge.
Meadowbrook Aquatic Center General Manager John Cadigan says members of the swim club where Phelps trains have been invited to watch ABC tape the spectacle Sunday afternoon.
Phelps' coach Bob Bowman has said he would help coach Shaq, joking three suits would be sewn together for the wide-bodied star.
