Honolulu Fire Department personnel conducting drills near the Pali Lookout discovered the decomposing body of a person yesterday afternoon.

Capt. Robert Man, HFD spokesman, said the crew found the body at the base of the lookout between the two Pali Highway tunnels shortly after 2:30 p.m. The body was retrieved and turned over to Honolulu Police for investigation.
Police said there were no apparent signs of foul play and have classified the case as an unattended death pending the outcome of an autopsy. Police are checking to see if the body matches the description of anyone who has been reported missing.
