Fire causes $153,000 damage to Hilo home

Big Island firefighters yesterday morning are investigating a fire that caused $153,000 in damage to a five-bedroom house on Wailuku Drive in Hilo.
The fire was reported just after 7 a.m. yesterday and firefighters found the front rooms of the house fully engulfed in flames, with flames and smoke pouring from the front of the house.
No one was injured.
The ranch-style house was made with single-wall construction, firefighters said.
