The Queen Lili�uokalani Children�s Center and Queen Lili�uokalani Trust will commemorate the 171st anniversary of Queen Lili�uokalani�s birth.

The 28th annual �A Matter of Maoli� is scheduled for Tuesday at the Children�s Center,1300 Halona St. The art exhibit opens at 6 p.m. with readings beginning at 7 p.m. The readings feature the middle and high school, short story and overall honorable mention winners of the 3rd Annual Na Leo O Na Pua writing competition. Refreshments follow.

A tribute on Wednesday will be held on the grounds of the Royal Mausoleum at 9:45 a.m. Parking will be at the Tenri Cultural Center across from the Nu�uanu Cemetery on Nu�uanu Avenue. The public is welcome.
