Moloka'i High School two-sport star Kalei Adolpho said last night that she has verbally committed to play for the University of Hawai'i volleyball team after she graduates in 2011.
The 6-foot-1 junior led the Farmers to fourth place in Division II state volleyball last season and is also an all-state basketball player. The Rainbow Wahine have told her she could play either in the middle or on the outside.
Adolpho announced her intentions after last night's match at Stan Sheriff Center.
"I committed because I want to play for Hawai'i, where I come from," Adolpho said. "They have a good team. This is the first game I've come to and that atmosphere is so cool. People are so into the game and I just want to be here."
