Local restaurants are offering holiday menus, sales of gift baskets and food items, discounts and benefit specials.

2009 ηIlima Award winning 3660 on the rise plans a Christmas Eve dinner buffet, 5-8 p.m. Dec. 24 featuring prime rib, stuffed chicken, Seafood Imperial, miso-glazed wild salmon and more. Hilton Hawaiian Village restaurants are offering a variety of holiday meals. Bali Steak & Seafood is doing a four-course dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Rainbow Lanai will have a buffet on those days. And the Waikiki Starlight Lu'au on the Lagoon Green will also do a dinner buffet spread with both Hawaiian and other ethnic offerings. The Willows' chef Jay Matsukawa will offer a Christmas day lunch or dinner Hawaiian-American spread ranging from kim chee tako poke to herbed spiced lamb. Information and reservations: willowshawaii.com; 952-9200.
Kai Market, the Sheraton Waikiki's new farm-to-table buffet plans a Christmas Day menu based on executive chef Darren Demaya's small-kid-time memories multi-ethnic, local-style fare ranging from Singapore-style Manila clams with lup cheong sausage to roast duck with steamed bao. Open 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Christmas Day; $49 adults, $15 children 6-12; also 5-9:30 p.m. Christmas evening, $59 adults, $15 children 6-12 years old. All five Ruth's Chris Steak Houses in the Islands are assisting the Hawaii Food Bank, offering those who purchase gift cards a little extra if they bring in non-perishable foods for the needy. For every gift card purchased through Dec. 31, receive an additional $10 dining certificate if you bring in food (canned meats or fish and rice are particularly valued). And if you buy $100 or more in dining certificates, you get an additional $10 certificate from Ruth's Chris and $5 from Romano's Macaroni Grill.

Chef Mavro has extended is three-course, $59 Beaujolais Nouveau feats through Dec. 19. Alan Wong's is selling Wong Way Chocolate Toffee Macadamia Nuts for $15 an 8-ounce box and planning both Christmas and New Year's menus. Check the Web site, alanwongs.com.
