Kahuku Public & School Library will close for renovation from Dec. 16 through Jan. 11. The book drop will also be closed.
Renovation work will include replacing ceiling tiles and retrofitting light fixtures for energy efficiency.

Patrons may return books and other library materials to other public libraries or to the Kahuku Bookmobile, which launched service to the Koolauloa community in October 2009. The 25-foot long bookmobile, a re-constructed tour bus, is staffed by the Kahuku Public & School Library.
The Kahuku Bookmobile schedule is as follows:
— Dec. 21: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Sunset Beach Christian School and 2-4 p.m. at Kuilima Estates.
— Dec. 28: 9-11 a.m. at Ponds at Punaluu Assisted Living Community; 12:30-2:30 p.m. at Hanohano Hale; 3-4 p.m. at Kaaawa Elementary School.
— Jan. 4: noon-1 p.m. at Hauula Civic Center; 1:30-2:45 p.m. at BYU-Hawaii Temple View Apartments family housing by Building R and farm; 3-4 p.m. at Student Family Housing by Building W.
— Jan. 11: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Sunset Beach Christian School; and 2-4 p.m. at Kuilima Estates.
