Leilehua High School students plan to present more than 1,600 cans of food, which is enough to feed 200 families in the nearby Wahiawa area, to Surfing The Nations today at 12:15 p.m.

Students collected the food as part of their efforts to help the hungry during this holiday season and chose to donate the goods to Surfing The Nations, which is headquartered in Wahiawa and is one of the largest private distributors of Hawaii Foodbank supplies in the state. Surfing The Nations will distribute the food to Wahiawa families as part of its weekly outreach to those in need in the community.
