The 16th annual Waimea Lighted Christmas Parade on Kauai tomorrow at 6 p.m. will bring some road closures.

The parade will begin at the ballpark next to Waimea Canyon School, head down Kaumualii Highway and end at Hofgaard Park in the center of Waimea town.

The Kauai Police Department will close Kaumualii Highway and all streets along the parade route, starting at around 5:15 p.m.

Shortly after the parade, east-bound traffic on Kaumualii will be allowed to leave Waimea and traffic in Waimea town will be allowed to flow.

No west-bound vehicles will be allowed into Waimea until all the floats have returned to the ballpark and vehicular traffic in Waimea has returned to normal.
