Happy holidays, grandparents: Through Thursday, a grandchild may bring his or her grandmother to see the exhibition at the Honolulu Academy of Arts and get in for free. (This offer applies to the grandmother and grandchild only — not entire families.)

Also, the academy is inviting people to e-mail a digital photo of their grandmother to grandma@honoluluacademy.org, by Jan. 8. The photos will be used in a work of art showcased at Bank of Hawaii Family Sunday on Jan. 17. Or bring an image of your grandmother to Bank of Hawaii Family Sunday, and create a plastic tile, to be included into a big "grandmother quilt."
