Aloha Pacific Credit Union warns of phony text messages

Advertiser Staff

Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union is warning members that phony wireless text, email and automated telephone messages are circulating that are designed to trick people into giving their personal and account information.

The credit union said the communications are designed to look and sound like legitimate correspondence but that it never sends text or email messages asking for account information.

It said most members ignored the messages and that it was working to help the few that responded to them.
