UH's Kobuch wins WAC women's honor

University of Hawai'i's Sophie Kobuch was named the Western Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 26 to Feb. 1, the conference announced yesterday.
This is the second career player of the week honor for Kobuch.
Kobuch, a junior from Tournefeuille, France, finished the week with a 3-1 overall record.
The Rainbow Wahine will next embark on a five-match Southern California road trip, beginning Feb. 17 against UC Santa Barbara. UH will also face Cal State Fullerton, No. 3 UCLA, Cal State Northridge and San Diego.

UH AT UH-HILO EVENT
The University of Hawai'i men's golf team begins its spring season with the UH-Hilo Invitational. The three-day tournament starts tomorrow at the Mauna Lani North Course in Kamuela.
UH-Hilo will serve as host of the 17-team field.
