MLK colleague to guest lecture

The Rev. Dr. William B. McClain, who worked alongside Martin Luther King Jr. during the civil rights movement, will be the guest lecturer at the 30th annual Britt Lectures this month.
McClain will discuss "In Search of a Prophetic 21st Century Church" and other topics at 7 p.m. next weekend (Friday as well as Feb. 14 to 15) and a preaching workshop 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 16 at First United Methodist Church, 1020 S. Beretania St.
All are free.
McClain is a professor of preaching at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., and author of "Come Sunday: The Liturgy of Zion."
