No. 2 Oklahoma tops Kansas, 69-54

LAWRENCE, Kan. — For most players, nine points, 15 rebounds and two blocked shots are a fine night's work.
But after No. 2 Oklahoma beat Kansas, 69-54, last night, all Courtney Paris could do was poke fun at herself for that effort.
"I'm devastated," Paris said with a laugh when asked how disappointed she was not to score in double figures. Playing just 25 minutes, the 6-foot-4 senior failed to score at least 10 points for only the second time in her career, and failed to get a double-double for only the sixth time in 124 games.
Earlier this year, her streak of double-doubles came to an end at 112.
"I don't worry about that stuff anymore," she said. "I'm just glad we won."
Amanda Thompson picked up the scoring slack with 16 points as the Sooner (22-2, 10-0) reeled off their 18th straight win and beat Kansas (13-10, 2-8) for the 11th straight time.
"I think Courtney Paris could care less about getting a double-double," Kansas coach Bonnie Henrickson said. "I think (Oklahoma coach) Sherri Coale was our best defense tonight."
