Kamehameha School's Kapalama Performing Arts Department will premier its 2009 spring production of "Aida" tonight.

The rock musical was written by Elton John and Tim Rice.

The play tells the story of Radames, the prince of Egypt, who is engaged to Amneris, but falls in love with Aida, the princess of Nubia. "Aida" features the Billboard Top 30 hit "Written In The Stars."

It starts at 7 tonight, and March 6, 7, 13 and 14, and 2 p.m. Sunday and March 8 and 15. Tickets are $5. Call Rose May Reeves at 842-8356.
