Ex-Warrior Bess injures thumb, but returns against Ravens

MIAMI — Miami Dolphins receiver Davone Bess left the team's playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens today with a left thumb injury but returned late in the second quarter in a 27-9 loss.
Bess, former University of Hawai'i standout, appeared to suffer the injury in the when he tackled safety Jim Leonhard, who was returning an interception by Chad Pennington. Miami had only three active receivers for the game, including Bess.
He finished with two catches for 54 yards, including one for 45 yards. He also had two punt returns for 5 yards against the Ravens.
