New flights to Kahului start Feb. 1

Mokulele Airlines said it will offer jet service to Maui's Kahului Airport from Lihu'e, Kaua'i, and Honolulu on Feb. 1, a month earlier than previously announced.

Bill Boyer, Mokulele's president and chief executive officer, said the response for service to Kahului has been positive, so the company moved up the start date.

Mokulele has been serving Maui with its Honolulu-Kapalua route, which will continue with Cessna propeller aircraft. The carrier will use Embraer jets on its Kahului route. Tickets went on sale yesterday.

Mokulele is the newest interisland jet carrier, joining Hawaiian Airlines and Mesa Air Group's go!


GO! USING ALOHA CONTRACT SERVICES

go! airlines has begun using Aloha Contract Services to provide passenger service, ramp operations and baggage services for go! flights at airports on Maui, Kaua'i and the Big Island.

The contract, worth $6 million a year, will cover 46 flights a day. The contract was awarded Nov. 13. Pacific Air Cargo bought Aloha Contract Services from Aloha Airlines after the latter closed down its operations last spring.

go! airlines is a unit of Mesa Air Group, based in Phoenix.


PONO FOODS LLC DELIVERS ON KAUA'I

A new online grocery shopping and delivery business has opened on Kaua'i.

Pono Foods LLC, owned by Dave Russell and Keri Bierman, serves the Kapa'a, Lihu'e and Po'ipu/Koloa regions. The company's Web site address is www.ponofoods.com.

More than 4,000 items can be ordered online and delivered to the customer's door from 2 to 6 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Russell and Bierman say they plan to expand their hours soon.

The minimum order is $50, and there is a $20 delivery fee.


ONCARE HAWAII CHOOSES INTELLIDOSE

OnCare Hawaii Inc., the largest cancer care provider in the state, has selected IntelliDose to manage complex chemotherapy treatments at its four sites.

"After extensive reviews, OnCare Hawaii chose IntelliDose for its ability to manage the unique demands of the oncology specialty," the company said in a news release.

IntelliDose transforms the manual process of chemotherapy regimen calculations into electronically verified orders. It will allow OnCare Hawaii to standardize all of its chemotherapy orders and administrations. It also eliminates the high costs and potential for error associated with handwritten orders, the company said.

OnCare Hawaii joins more than 500 oncologists at leading hospitals, health networks and private practices that rely on IntelliDose to manage and track chemotherapy regimens for more than 19,500 patients each month.


HOMEBUILDING, REMODELING SHOW SET

The Building Industry Association of Hawaii will present the 15th annual Home Building & Remodeling Show Jan. 22 to 25 at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.

More than 150 of Hawai'i's top contractors, suppliers and building industry experts will be represented at the event, which will include seminars on kitchen and bathroom remodeling, natural stone selection and residential green construction practices.

Hours are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Jan. 22 and Jan. 23, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Jan. 24, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan 25. Admission is $5, and free for kids younger than 12 accompanied by an adult.
