A man who appeared to be in his 50s was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition after being assaulted by at least two men in the Lanakila area early this morning, police said.

Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department, said paramedics were sent to the area near North School Street and Lanakila Avenue at 2:04 a.m. and transported the man to a local trauma center in critical condition.
