MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State quarterback Nate Davis has decided to give up his senior season to enter the NFL draft.
The school said Tuesday that Davis made the decision after returning to his hometown of Bellaire, Ohio, to talk with his family over the weekend.
Davis led the Cardinals to a 12-0 start this season in which they were ranked as high as 12th. But the Cardinals lost to Buffalo in the Mid-American Conference championship game, then lost to Tulsa in the GMAC Bowl.
Davis threw for 26 touchdowns and only eight interceptions this season. His quarterback rating was 13th in the nation.
