Summer internships in journalism for students
The Society of Professional Journalists' Hawai'i Chapter is seeking college students interested in paid summer internships in broadcast and print media.
Preference is given to Hawai'i residents enrolled in a college or university here or on the Mainland. Applicants must have completed their sophomore year of college by this June.
Print internships are full time for 10 weeks, and interns receive $3,250. There are internships at the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, Honolulu Advertiser, Maui News, Pacific Business News, Hawaii Business magazine, Honolulu magazine and Trade Publishing Co. Part-time internships for eight weeks at 27 hours a week are offered at KGMB-TV, KHON, KHNL and KITV. Broadcast interns will receive $1,750.
