More media. More interviews.
First thing in the morning after breakfast the players had to attend another press conference for one hour. It was similar to media day except at a much smaller setting. There was a media tent set up with tables that players were assigned to. News reporters and radio shows made their rounds at each table getting stories from players individually on various topics. When the session ended the team hopped on the bus headed toward the practice facility.
Coach (Ken) Whisenhunt is trying to make our work schedule at the facility as close to a normal week during the season. So once we got to the facility our schedule was just like a normal Wednesday. We started with a team meeting where coach Wiz addressed the team about various things. His basic message was to not let all the distractions out here in Tampa during Super Bowl week get our minds off of football. We are here for one thing, and that is to win the football game and become world champions. We can party all we want after.
The day continued with more and more meetings where we watch film on the Steelers and sharpen up our game plan for them. We then hit the field for our Wednesday practice. It was a nice sunny and humid day. It reminded me of Hawai'i to be in humidity again and to feel a nice cool breeze.
When practice was over most players got a lift in before we had our final meeting of the day. I was pretty exhausted after work so I got something to eat and went straight to my room for a nap.
The players are really excited for tomorrow because all our families come in and will get to experience the rest of this week with us!
Aloha!
