LOS ANGELES — The private pathologist who conducted a second autopsy on David Carradine's body after it was returned to the U.S, said yesterday that, so far, he agrees with Thai authorities that the actor died of asphyxia.
However, Dr. Michael Baden noted that he is waiting for key details from Thai authorities, including toxicology test results, an analysis of items in Carradine's room and security footage.
Baden said he cannot yet determine whether Carradine's death was accidental or a homicide. The actor's body was found hanging in the closet of his room in a luxury Bangkok hotel a month ago.
HOLMES WILL HOOF ON NATIONAL TV
NEW YORK — So Katie Holmes thinks she can dance — and she'll show off her moves.
Nigel Lythgoe, producer of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance," confirms that the 30-year-old actress will perform on the reality contest's 100th episode, airing July 23. Holmes will pay homage to Judy Garland — in a taped number, she'll sing and dance to the Garland classic "Get Happy."
Holmes' cameo is meant to promote a new foundation she launched with Lythgoe and "Dancing With the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba. The nonprofit, Dizzy Feet, supports dance education, programs and training.
'SURVIVOR' CAST PLANS TO FAST FOR DARFUR
Cast members of CBS' reality hit "Survivor" announced yesterday that they will endure a three-day "fast for the people of Darfur."
In a statement, the cast says it was inspired by Mia Farrow's recent fast, which has been continued by celebrities such as Sir Richard Branson, Peter Gabriel, Maria Bello and Olympic gold medalist Joey Cheek.
"While we are known to the world as 'Survivors,' that concept pales in comparison to the survivors in Darfur who have been systematically ... terrorized ... by the Sudanese government," say the competitors, who initiated the solidarity fast themselves, not under CBS auspices.
