'Suspicious package' at high school wasn't bomb
Honolulu Police Department explosives ordnance personnel yesterday examined an item described as a "suspicious package" on the campus of 'Aiea High School that was determined not to be an explosive, said Michelle Yu, spokeswoman for the police department.
The school was on lockdown while the police bomb squad investigated the package, which was near a school building. Police disabled the package about 10:30 a.m.
