Think you have a hidden treasure worth big, big bucks?
Check out the Hawaiian Antiques Roadshow, a free event 10 a.m.-4 p.m. July 11 and noon-4 p.m. July 12 at Carats & Karats Fine Jewelry, Antiques and Collectibles in Kaimukï. Three appraisers will be on hand to evaluate items such as jewelry, antiques, watches, porcelain, crystal, sterling silver items, flatware and spoon collections.
“Many people in this economy need to raise extra money,” said store owner Brenda Reichel, who wanted to organize an event similar to “Antiques Roadshow” on PBS.
People will be given a variety of options for their items, such as whether or not they should sell them, keep them, or donate them to their favorite charity or auction. There will be a licensed buyer on site.
