Punahou has been named as the nation’s best high school sports program by Sports Illustrated for the second straight year.

The magazine announced the honor on its Web site Monday.
Sports Illustrated says it considered state championships, scholarship athletes in Division I program and the success of athletes on and off the field.
Punahou had 19 state titles during the last school year, including in baseball, football, boys and girls tennis, girls cross country and girls track.
Jesuit in Portland, Ore. came in second in the magazine’s rankings. Jesuit won seven state titles.
