Kailua’s Kupono Aweau has advanced to the top 10 finalists of the Fox TV show, “So You Think You Can Dance.”
He and partner Kayla Radomski endured multiple selection rounds before the show aired, proving that they deserved to be on national television.
Once the show aired, the two fought week after week to stay in the competition.
Aweau has been in the bottom three multiple times, but the judges keep bringing him back for more, citing his note-taking skills and application as one of the reasons why he deserves to be on the show.
Aweau and Radomski are in the top 10 with Ade Obayomi, Jeanine Mason, Melissa Sandvig, Evan Kasprzak, Jason Glover, Randi Evans, Brandon Bryant and Janette Manrara.
The top 10 will tour the country over the summer and continue their journey toward being the last man (or woman) standing.
At 7 p.m. Wednesday, contestants perform again; voting lines open at 9 p.m. Hawaii time.
At 8 p.m. Thursday, two more contestants will be booted off the show. results show
