The Honolulu Academy of Arts is free and kid-friendly this Sunday as part of the monthly Bank of Hawaii Family Sunday program.

This month's theme is "Blown Out of Proportion," which uses math to inspire art. In addition, Mad Science of Hawaii will provide a exploding foam fountain and help kids explore gravity, inertia and basic chemistry with flying glasses and a genie in a bottle.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers different ways to explore the galleries through scavenger hunts, art activities demonstrations and entertainment.
