The Cleveland Browns and former University of Hawai'i defensive end David Veikune have reached agreement on a four-year, $3.5 million contract, according to an NFL source.
Veikune, who is expected to make the transition to linebacker, received $1.8 million in guaranteed money.
Agent Ken Zuckerman of Priority Sports declined to comment on the specifics. But he said "David has worked very hard to make this happen, and I feel fortunate to be able to help him. He's a model client."
Veikune was a second-round draft choice and the 52nd player taken overall in April's draft.
