Out Maui way: Kapalua Resort's summer specials and activities include:
Unlimited golf program, featuring five days of unlimited play at Kapalua Resort's Bay Course and Plantation Course. The promotion starts at $499 for off-property guests and $399 for guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua and The Kapalua Villas, through Nov. 30.
The Kapalua Spa Package includes a $100 Kapalua Spa gift certificate (services include the 'Awa and Cacao Lomi Wrap, Hawaiian Spirulina Wrap or the Journey Through the Ocean dual therapist massage), for guests booking a minimum three-night stay through Sept. 30, at The Kapalua Villas.
The Kapalua Villas is also offering the "Free Spa Package," which includes a $1,000 spa credit for a minimum three-night stay. Rates start at $369 per night or $1,107 per villa for a three-night package, through Sept. 30. Also, the "Head to Toe Package" starts at $1,699 per villa for a five-night stay, through Dec. 19.
The Kapalua Gold Villas rates start at $199 per night for a one-bedroom villa, through Aug. 16.
The Kapalua Villas Fall promotion features a view category upgrade as well as a $100 resort credit, which can be used for resort activities including golf, spa, shopping and resort tours as well as the resort's 12 restaurants. Nightly rates start at $169 per night with a three-night minimum stay, Aug. 17-Dec. 19.
Kapalua Resort's Sunset Zip Tours run each Wednesday and Saturday from 5 to 7:30 p.m., featuring two scenic ziplines over Kapalua Nui's ridges and ravines with pupu, wine and beer at the Mountain Outpost's 360-degree view pavilion and observation deck. Kapalua Adventures' Sunset Zip Tours are $129 per person and available to ages 21 years and older.
Kapalua Resort's Full Moon Zip Tour is offered once a month from 8 to 10 p.m. Riders venture across the longest and highest suspension bridge in Hawai'i and then journey over the west Maui forest on the resort's 2,000-foot-long zipline. At the end of the experience, guests are treated to hot chocolate and cookies. Kapalua Adventures' Full Moon Zip Tour is $99 per person.
Kapalua Farms' Farm Tour takes guests through a fruit orchard, ocean view fields of organic produce and herbs, and out to pineapple fields to taste Kapalua Gold and Kapalua Emerald pineapples. The tour includes a pineapple to take home and lunch made with organic produce. $60 per person; $50 ages 2-11 years. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
