Trade winds should begin to reappear over most of the islands today, bringing some relief from the warm, muggy weather of the past several days, the National Weather Service said.
But an approaching front will weaken the winds by tonight, allowing land and sea breezes to dominate through tomorrow night night, forecasters said.
The winds are expected to strengthen strengthen again on Thursday when trade winds will spread back across all the islands.
The atmosphere will be dry and stable so rainfall will remain light.
