University of Hawai'i center fielder Kolten Wong was named to the Louisville Slugger's Freshman All-America team, it was announced by Collegiate Baseball newspaper's online edition yesterday.

The 2008 graduate of Kamehameha-Hawai'i was one of 17 outfielders selected. Earlier, he also was named the Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year.

Wong batted .341 with 11 home runs, 21 doubles, two triples and 52 RBIs.
