Learn about Nuremburg at the Library

Retired Punahou teacher and founding director of Wo International Center Siegfried Ramler will preview his new book, “Nuremberg and Beyond – The Memoirs of Siegried Ramler: From 20th Century Europe to Hawaii.” This special preview will take place at the Hawaii State Library on June 13 at 11 a.m.

Ramler will read passages from his memoirs and share information about growing up in Austria, experiences he had during WWII, including life as an interrogator and interpreter at the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials. He will also share memories about his life in Hawaii and his career as a Punahou School teacher.

This is a free program, recommended for people 12-years-old and up. Contact the library ASAP if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodations is needed. For more information call the Hawaii State Library’s Language, Literature and History Section at 586-3499.
