ESPN's Neil Everett has long history in Hawaii

ESPN SportsCenter anchor and former Hawai'i resident Neil Everett will address tonight's Hawai'i High School Hall of Honor class.
Everett co-anchors the late edition of SportsCenter from ESPN's new Los Angeles operation. Everett joined ESPN in 2000 after working as the sports director and anchor for KGMB. He spent 15 years in Hawai'i at three local television stations.
Everett also was the assistant athletic director and sports information director at Hawai'i Pacific University from 1986 to 2000 and was the communications director for the Jeep Aloha and Jeep O'ahu bowls from 1994 to 1999.
A Spokane, Wash., native, Everett is a 1984 graduate of the University of Oregon.
